Crossfade is now BETA (again) on SimpMusic—bringing that seamless, “no awkward gaps” listening flow people already enjoy on Apple Music and Spotify into your daily playlists.
What’s new on SimpMusic
SimpMusic’s Crossfade is built to feel a bit more “DJ-styled”: along with overlapping two tracks, it adds a subtle transition flavor using filtering (low-cut / high-pass-style movement) so the change feels smoother, not just quieter-then-louder.
AutoMix vs Crossfade vs SimpMusic “DJ-style”
Apple Music: In the Music app you can enable song transitions like AutoMix (and also Crossfade) as listening options. AutoMix is the more “automatic” experience, while Crossfade is the more straightforward overlap-style transition.
Spotify: Spotify also provides “Transitions between tracks” controls (including Crossfade and Automix) as part of playback settings.
SimpMusic: SimpMusic focuses on a manual, user-controlled transition—your crossfade time is set by you, and the app enhances the overlap with a light DJ-like filter feel (so it’s not only smooth in volume, but also smooth in texture). SimpMusic does not do automatic BPM/pitch matching like fully-automated AutoMix-style systems; instead it gives you a reliable, consistent transition you can tune per your taste.
How to enable (quick guide)
Open SimpMusic → Settings
Go to Playback
Toggle Crossfade ON, DJ-styled ON
Set Crossfade duration (SimpMusic supports up to 30s) and you’re done
